Mission of Voces Latinas
President's Distinguished Club, 2007-2008 & 2006-2007

Our club's mission is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth. Our club also aims to:
  • produce outstanding speakers and leaders in the Latino community
  • coach our members to succeed in their personal and professional lives
  • empower our members to realize their dreams

Tostmasters International empowers people to achieve their full potential and realize their dreams. Through our member clubs, people throughout the world can improve their communication and leadership skills, and find the courage to change.

A Toastmaster's Promise
As a member of Voces Latinas Toastmasters Club #3046, I promise to: 
  • Attend all club meetings regularly (and on time)
  • Prepare all of my speeches to the best of my ability, based on projects in the Competent Communication manual or Advanced Communication manuals
  • Prepare for and fulfill meeting assignments
  • Provide fellow members with helpful, constructive evaluations
  • Help the club maintain the positive, friendly environment necessary for all members to learn and grow
  • Serve my club as an officer when called upon to do so
  • Treat my fellow club members and our guests with respect and courtesy
  • Bring guests to club meetings so they can see the benefits Toastmasters membership offers
  • Adhere to the guidelines and rules for all Toastmasters educational and  recognition programs
  • Maintain honest and highly ethical standards during the conduct of all Toastmasters activities

All new members are voted in. Membership fees go toward supplies, educational materials, awards, snacks, etc. A monthly subscription to Toastmasters Magazine is included. Renewals are collected in March and September.
